Screening of the Award-Winning Film “Ocean with David Attenborough” in Kefalonia

The international production “Ocean with David Attenborough” is coming to Kefalonia on Friday, 25 September 2026, as part of the nationwide Revive Our Ocean Greece campaign, coordinated in Greece by the Cyclades Preservation Fund (CPF).

The Kefalonia screening is being held in collaboration with the Ionian Environment Foundation and the Municipality of Argostoli.

The international documentary, narrated by David Attenborough, will be shown in English with Greek subtitles and has a running time of 90 minutes.

About the film

“Ocean with David Attenborough” delivers a powerful message of hope for the future of our seas. It reveals the unique beauty of the underwater world, the modern threats it faces, and success stories showing that nature can recover when effectively protected. The film won two Emmy Awards in 2026.

The campaign is aimed at citizens, organisations and students, raising awareness of the importance of Marine Protected Areas and contributing to the international 30×30 target — protecting 30% of the world’s oceans and seas by 2030.

Revive Our Ocean Greece, coordinated by CPF, is held under the auspices of the Natural Environment and Climate Change Agency and National Geographic Pristine Seas. In 2026 it is supported by the Athina I. Martinou Foundation, A.G. Leventis Foundation and Costas M. Lemos Foundation, as well as the Hellenic Film and Audiovisual Center. ERT is the campaign’s media sponsor.
