PRESS RELEASE – ROCK CONCERT AT ANAKARA CULTURAL ASSOCIATION

    ROCK CONCERT - SATURDAY, MARCH 14 - 8:00 PM

Stournari Street Band - Daimonioi Asyrmatistes - Stelios Magalios

WHEN YOU HAVE SUCH SUPPORT, THEN YOU MUST HAVE DONE SOMETHING RIGHT!!!

ANAKARA enthusiastically welcomes the Stournari Street Band who are uniting their voices to support the cultural activities in ANAKARA!

The Greek-speaking scene has a past, present, and future.

It doesn't rest on its laurels, it gets uncomfortable, it explores and seeks new paths.

On Saturday, March 14, 2026, we invite you to witness this search. Leading the way are the Stournari Street Band who are coming to entertain you for free from the distant capital (from Athens, not from across the way). Along with them are the Daimonioi Asyrmatistes of Anakara and our always-by-our-side friend and brother Stelios Magalios.

Who are the Stournari Street Band?

This is a newly formed musical group that presents a special live project based on beloved songs (Nikolas Asimos, Pavlos Sidiropoulos, Mousikes Taxiarchies, etc.), unexpected covers, and their own compositions. They themselves have a long history in the Greek-speaking scene: Giorgos Laggouretos (known for his participation in Magic de Spell, Ypothesis X, and recently in the “Celebration for Pavlos Sidiropoulos”), Nikos Bardis (guitar and trumpet in Diafana Krina) and the distinctive percussionist Antonis Nomikos (The Absorbus Machine, Faretra Crystalina, etc.), with a free approach, create a “second reading” of the songs with an improvisational orientation, constructing soundscapes, and “wink” at the extroverted and entertaining moments of the program.

    The contributors:

    Giorgos Laggouretos: voice, acoustic guitar

    Nikos Bardis: electric guitar

    Antonis Nomikos: percussion, sound effects

    Fotis Kokavesis: sound engineering
