Kefalonian Globe Supports Friday's (28/2) Strike Action

Friday, February 28 marks two years since the Tempi train crash that claimed the lives of 57 people.
Two years later, and still, ample light has not been shed on this case, with the general feeling of injustice and cover-up intensifying.
Society does not forget.
Thus, hundreds of protest rallies will take place on Friday, February 28, across the country, organized by collectives, organizations, and citizen movements, while the largest unions and labor federations in the country have declared a 24-hour strike, calling on workers to make a strong presence with the demand for justice.
Specifically, public transport, trade unions, federations, associations, cultural venues, entertainment centers, restaurants, and many other businesses have announced their participation in Friday's 24-hour nationwide strike, joining the large mobilizations.
At the same time, lawyers', pharmacists', doctors', students', pupils', and other associations have called for participation in the mobilizations.
In the same struggle, we, at Kefalonian Globe, support the just cause of the victims' families and the injured and stand by them, simultaneously demanding that the truth come to light and justice be served. For these reasons, we will not publish our usual article on Friday, February 28.
We will also be on the streets, as our conscience dictates. See you there!
