With sorrow, we announce the passing of educator Rania Fragkiskatou

With deep sorrow, the Primary Education Teachers' Association of Kefalonia – Ithaca announced the passing of fellow educator Rania Fragkiskatou, who left us on Monday, 1 June 2026.

Rania Fragkiskatou served for many years as principal of the Special Education School. She was distinguished for her collegiality, her support of both veteran and younger colleagues, and her love for her students.

As the Association's announcement notes, she will be remembered for her tireless efforts to relocate the Special School to Argostoli, for her generosity, selflessness, and the deep solidarity she always showed her fellow teachers.

Rania was a valued member of the educational community. Her absence will be deeply felt by everyone who had the privilege to work alongside her.
