The Kefalonian Globe supports the strike action on Friday (28/2)

On Friday 28 February Two years have passed since the Tempi train accident that claimed the lives of 57 people.

Two years after and still no light has been shed on this case with the general feeling of injustice and cover-ups being rampant.

Society does not forget.

Thus, hundreds of protest rallies will be held on Friday 28 February across the country, organised by collectives, organisations and citizens' movements, while the country's largest unions and labour federations have declared a 24-hour strike calling on workers to take a strong stand for justice.

In particular, public transport, trade unions, federations, associations, associations and institutions, cultural venues, entertainment centres, catering establishments and many other businesses have announced that they will take part in the 24-hour nationwide strike on Friday, participating in the major mobilisations.

At the same time, lawyers', pharmacists', doctors', students', pupils' and other associations have called for participation in the mobilisations.

In the same struggle we, in the Kefalonian Globe, we support the just struggle of the families of the victims and the wounded and we stand by their side while demanding that the truth shine and justice be done. For these reasons, we will not be publishing our regular article on Friday 28 February.

We will also be on the streets, as our conscience dictates. See you there!

~Justice will not be achieved until those who remain unaffected by injustice are as outraged as those affected. ~ Benjamin Franklin
