Thanks from Vallianeio General High School of Keramies for the play "The Gods of Ainos"

In a press release, the Director and the Teachers' Association of Vallianeio General High School of Keramies express their thanks for the successful presentation of the play "The Gods of Ainos" (related article). The full text follows:

The Director and the Teachers' Association of Vallianeio General High School of Keramies, after the successful staging of the two theatrical performances "The Gods of Ainos" by our school's theatrical and musical group at the Argostoli Municipal Theater "O KEFALOS" on Wednesday, January 28 and Thursday, January 29, 2026, as well as the performance for students at the Lykiardopouleio Theater of Keramies on Monday, January 26, 2026, feel obliged to warmly thank:

·       All of you, our fellow citizens, who attended the performance on both days and applauded the efforts of our children. We apologize to those of you who could not find a seat despite our efforts to accommodate everyone.

·       Our children, the students of the theatrical and musical group who, from the beginning of the year, dedicated their Sunday afternoons to rehearsals and presented us with this beautiful spectacle: (alphabetical) Anna Alevizopoulou, Nikolas Alivizatos, Annaliza Andreatou, Nicola Vidoni, Anastasia Gavrili, Konstantinos Gavrilis, Nefeli Zisimatos, Voula Kalouri, Nafsika Kapatou, Christos Kappatos, Konstantinos Kiourktsis, Stefania Malsi, Panagiota Marouli, Maria Memlika, Eleni Menegatou, Melina Messolora, Gerasimos-Savvas Michalatos, Clio Michalatos, Alexis Mousouris, Stamatis Nezeritis, Arita Nikoloviéne, Chara Pagoulatou, Vasiliki Van Meeteren, and the group's "veteran" Andreas Kouloumbi. We also thank Angelos Mousouris who technically supported the entire performance (sound, lighting), and Viktoria Sourvanou and Anna Alevizopoulou (prompters).

·       The children who helped with choreography, makeup, and hairstyles for the performance (Annaliza Andreatou, Clio Michalatos, Melina Messolora, Vasiliki Van Meeteren), as well as our students who helped with welcoming the audience and ushering (Reggina Garbi, Theofania Tapsa, Marilia Pagoulatou, Alexis Papa, Dori Cekici, Atanas Dimitrov)

·       The parents who supported the children throughout the preparation, and the Board of Directors of the Parents' and Guardians' Association for the treats for our children at the final rehearsal

·       The Municipality of Argostoli, for the kind concession of the "O KEFALOS" theater, and the theater staff, Ms. Stamo Stergiotou and Mr. Grigoris Mavrogiannis, for their excellent cooperation and support

·       Ms. Stamo and Maria Ambatiélou, for their advice and help with costume support

·       Ms. Ioanna Kontogianni, Mr. Nikos Fokas, president of P.S. "Fokata", and Ms. Niki Spinou, for the concession of costumes and stage accessories

·       Mr. Lionel Vidoni, for the transport of the stage props to the "KEFALOS" theater

·       The "MENEGATOS Travel" agency for transporting the group to the theater during the final rehearsal

·       The media that covered the evening and preserved wonderful memories for our children with excellent photos, videos and texts: kefalonitis, kefaloniastatus, inkefalonia, kefaloniafocus, Kefaloniapost, kefalonian globe, kefaloniapress.

·       The radio station Ionian Galaxy and its producers, Ms. Vania Samoli and Mr. Lamprogiannis Pefanis, who hosted our children twice (before and after the performance) and gave them the experience of a radio interview.

The love and support of all of you encourage our team to continue this effort, which has significant pedagogical results for our students, showing an alternative path of education and cultivation of cognitive and social skills and emotional intelligence. Thank you!
